East Maui
We hike two different valleys for our half-day
hike.
For those staying in south and east Maui (Kihei, Wailea, Makena,
Pa`ia, Haiku, Huelo, Kahului, Wailuku) we drive half the Hana Highway
(Hawaii's most famous historic road with gorgeous tropical scenery)
to our own private valley.
On the drive: deep valleys, steep sea cliffs,
roadside waterfalls, bamboo forests, lush vegetation.
-Stop at a 31-acre botanical garden.
-Descend (from the garden) 300 feet down our private trail to a
lovely stream.
-Swim in large pools under
30- and 40-foot waterfalls.
-Hike to a lookout to view
a 200-foot falls.
-Roundtrip hiking is 1.5
miles.
-Lunch included.
Price: $112.00 door-to-door service (pickup
in Kihei, Wailea or Makena). $98.00 if you meet us in Kahului (then
drive in our van to the trail.) If you prefer the $98.00 price for
the East Maui valley, it doesn't matter where you stay. You can
drive from any part of the island to meet us in Central Maui.
West Maui
For those staying on the west side (Lahaina, Ka`anapali,
Honokowai, Kahana, Napili, Kapalua), we pick you up and drive north
along the wild, remote side of West Maui.
On the drive: spectacular rock formations
and craggy sea cliffs.
Hike 2.5 miles (roundtrip) into an isolated rainforest along a beautiful
stream.
-Follow the stream to ancient stone-walled agricultural terraces.
-Sit in a peaceful bamboo forest.
-Swim in pools under small falls and shower under a 20-foot waterfall.
-View triple cascading, 20-, 30- and 40-foot waterfalls from a lookout
point.
-Circle West Maui tour -- drive back by circumnavigating the West
Maui Mountains.
-Lunch included.
